According to the civic body's report on vector-borne diseases released on Monday, a total of 9,545 dengue cases and 23 deaths have been recorded this season till December 25.
Several measures are being taken up in the national capital to bring down the number of cases.
Experts on Friday also said that dengue makes pregnant women vulnerable to unfavourable pregnancy as compared to non-infected pregnant women.
Delhi has so far reported a total of 5,277 dengue cases in 2021 of which 2,569 cases were recorded in last week ending Nov 13, as per the report of municipal corporation.
According to the report on vector-borne diseases, a total of 5,277 dengue cases were recorded this year till November 13.
A central team has arrived in the state and it will share its expertise with the officials over the control of the disease and also know about the measures implemented by the government against dengue, state Health Minister Ma Subramanian told reporters.
The national capital had registered a higher count of 2,022 dengue cases for October in 2017, according to figures shared by civic authorities.
Islamabad District Health Officer Zaeem Zia told local media that 57 patients were reported in the suburbs of the capital city and 66 in the urban areas, reports Xinhua news agency.
The district malaria officer said that six people of this village are admitted at a civil hospital, while some people are being treated in a private hospital.
In October, the national capital saw a total of 382 new dengue cases, 29 cases of malaria and 13 cases of chikungunya.
ICMR Director General, Dr Balram Bhargava on Thursday said that dengue vaccine has become an important agenda.
Out of 103 active cases of dengue, 54 patients are seeking treatment at the hospital and 49 patients are taking treatment at home.
"Health Dept is in high alert mode. Luckily, no patient is in the serious condition right now. All the cases of Dengue are being treated at private and Govt hospitals," CMO added.
The team will investigate the causes behind patients not getting proper treatment before they reach the government medical college and other primary health centres in the district.
A BMC report said that the civic body's pest control department inspected 4,46,077 houses and detected and destroyed 4,108 mosquito-breeding spots as a preventive measure against the disease.
The BJP government in the state will launch "Dengue se Jung Janata Ke Sang" campaign on Wednesday to spread awareness among the people in the fight against dengue. The number of dengue patients have risen in the last few days.
The state's Firozabad district has been battling an outbreak of dengue and deadly viral fever for the past 2-weeks, leaving 55 people dead.
According to Akhilesh Mohan, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Meerut, 18 people in the district have also been cured of dengue infection recently.
According to the civic report issued by the municipal corporations last week, 97 cases of dengue were recorded till August 28 this year. At least 124 cases have been reported this year till September 4.
