A Delhi court on Friday sent Arvind Kejriwal to six-day Enforcement Directorate custody in the liquor policy scam case. The probing agency has accused Kejriwal of being the 'kingpin' and key conspirator of the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.
Additional Solicitor General S V Raju, appearing for ED, described Kejriwal as the kingpin and mastermind the the Delhi liquor excise scam. He alleged that nearly Rs 600 crores were earned from privatizing Delhi liquor trade, out of which Rs 100 crore was given as kickback to Aam Aadmi Party.
Delhi excise policy case: The BRS leader in her petition has also challenged her remand as well and said the remand order doesn't adhere to Article 141 which states that the law declared by the Supreme Court shall be binding on all courts within the territory of India.
Germany Foreign Ministry had said in an official statement that Arvind Kejriwal is "entitled to a fair and impartial trial". The MEA has lodged a strong protest with the European country over the remarks and called it a "blatant interference" in India's internal affairs.

The raid comes a day after Arvind Kejriwal was sent to the ED custody in connection with the alleged liquor scam. The AAP has hit out at the BJP over the raid and said that the "largest democracy in the world is now on the path of dictatorship".
