England's World Cup squad have arrived at their Rustenburg base in South Africa on Thursday, with enough time to get acclimatised before the 2010 World Cup kicks off on June 11th.
The team, which is one of the tournament's favourites, was given a warm welcome - seasoned with South African music and dancing - as players descended from the bus and picked up their suitcases. The 23-man squad touched down in Johannesburg earlier Thursday, then travelled by bus to their Rustenburg base.
Coach Fabio Capello, and players David Beckham, Jamie Carragher, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard were among the first to emerge from the bus. Capello's men will undergo a period of acclimatisation before their first match against the United States on the 12th of June in Rustenburg.
They then will move on to Cape Town to take on Algeria six days later, before playing Slovenia in Port Elizabeth on the 23rd. AP
