Ahmedabad, Feb 25: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) yesterday said that the Lokpal Bill to be introduced by the Centre in the ongoing Budget session would not be acceptable to them in the present form.

"The Jan Lokpal Bill, which will be introduced by the Central government in the Parliament during the budget session, will not be accepted by the party", AAP national executive member Manish Sisodia said.

He was talking to reporters after holding AAP's first conclave for Gujarat and announcing formation of the State Executive Committee.

"Jan Lokpal is one of the solutions to the problems of the country but not the ultimate solution", he said.

AAP yesterday appointed Sukhdev Patel as convener of state AAP

committee which will have twelve members.

Seeking to draw a parallel between Congress government in

Delhi and Modi government in Gujarat, Sisodia alleged that both of them are being run in a manner to cater to the interests of some influential industrialists.

He said AAP will provide political alternative in Gujarat

to ruling BJP and opposition Congress.

Criticising Modi's development claims through state Budget

2013-14 tabled recently, Patel alleged, "there is no provision for funds in the budget as announced earlier by Modi".

Sisodia said AAP had appointed chief justice (retd) of Himachal Pradesh high court T U Mehta as its internal Lokayukta to ensure transparency.

AAP also appointed Sanjeev Srivastava as its Gujarat secretary, Naman Doshi as treasurer and Aniruddh Jadeja the organisational convener.
