Pune Porsche accident: The Juvenile Justice Board’s May 19 order granting bail to accused in the Pune Porsche accident case came under serious criticism online as the conditions imposed on the teenager came to the fore. The Pune Police later filed an application urging the Board to review its order and try the boy as an adult instead of as a minor.

Here is the detailed order laying down the conditions of the bail:
Perused of FIR and discussion with CCL and his grandfather. His grandfather has given assurance that he will keep the CCL away from any bad company. He will concentrate on his studies or any vocational course which is useful for his career. He is ready to abide by the condition imposed on him. Therefore, it is just and Proper to release the CCL on bail. Hence following order is passed.
The CCL is released on bail on executing his personal bond and surety bond of Rs 7500 with following conditions.
- The parent of CCL shall take care of CCL. They should be taken care that the CCL will never be involved in offences of like nature in future.
- The parent of CCL Is directed to keep the CCL present before the Board as and when his presence is required.
- The parent of CCL is directed to keep away from joining any bad company.
- CCL will visit R.T.O. office and study all the rules and regulations and prepare a presentation and submit the same to Juvenile Justice Board Within 1S days and CCL will write an essay of 300 words on the topic of road accidents and their solution.
- CCL will assist R.T.O. Officer and Practice and study traffic rules for 15 days and submit a report same to the Juvenile Justice Board.
- Refer CCL to muktagan for external de addiction Counselling after counselling report submitted to the Juvenile Justice Board.
- Consult CCL to psychology and psychiatrist doctor of sasson hospital, pune and submit reports to Juvenile Justice Board, Pune within 15 days.
Porsche accident case
The accident in Pune took place in the early morning on May 19. The Board’s decision to grant the youngster bail on the same day while asking him to write an essay on road accidents drew massive criticism on social media.
The youngster, son of a real estate developer, was drunk at the time of the accident, police claimed on May 20. A case was registered against him under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder ) of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
A group of friends were returning on motorbikes around 3.15 am on Sunday after a party when a speeding luxury car hit one of the motorcycles at Kalyani Nagar junction. The two riders — Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa — died of their injuries.
