Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has hailed as "positive and result-oriented" the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi whose government completed one year in office today.

"Narendra Modi's credo of 'Sabka Saath Subkaa Vikas' has been successful and many social welfare schemes have been launched for the weaker sections of society in a short span of one year. Modi has created an environment in which one and all are feeling confident and optimistic about their future. The government has also created faith among the investors," Singh said in his congratulatory message today.

The Chief Minister hailed the tenure of the Prime Minister as "positive and result-oriented".

Listing out various schemes like Prime Minister's 'Jan Dhan Yojana', 'Pradhan Mantri Beema Suraksha Yojana', 'Atal Pension Yojana' and others, the CM said the steps taken in the span of one year will help Chhattisgarh as well in future.

Singh said the 'Swachch Bharat' (clean India) campaign launched by the Prime Minister has sent a message to make our country clean in body and spirit.

"...Similarily, PM's 'Make In India' will make the country economically more powerful and also a super power in coming years," the CM said while "wishing Modi a bright future on the behalf of citizens of the state."

He said the state revenue has gone up by 10 per cent after the Central government had accepted the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission.

"Extra funds of around Rs 6,400 crore will be available for the state. The royalty on mining resources and the auction of coal mines will bring extra funds of Rs 2,200 crore to the state," he said.

Referring to PM's visit to naxal-affected Dantewada earlier this month, Singh said an investment of around Rs 24,000 crore would be made in Dantewada in coming years under different projects, which will create ample job opportunities for locals.

"Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the country will attain the pinnacle of glory," he said.
