New Delhi: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is slated to host dinner for his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in Brisbane, where the two leaders will be attending the G20 summit.

The move is seen as a reflection of the ‘exceptionally warm and friendly' equation both the leaders share.

Abe had earlier in August hosted a dinner for Modi at the Imperial Guest House in Kyoto during his visit to Japan.

Both Modi and Abe will be in Brisbane to attend two-day G20 summit from November 15.

Modi travelled straight to Australia from Myanmar, where he attended ASEAN and East Asia summit. The two leaders had held an informal meet in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, yesterday.

Modi will also be attending a dinner at the iconic Melbourne cricket ground, to be hosted by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott.
