New Delhi: DSK Motowheels has launched a special edition superbike, called the Hyosung GT250 R LE, in India. The limited edition GT250R is a celebration of the first anniversary of Hyosung owners club, Hy-Ryders, and the company plans to launch only 50 editions of the bike.


Priced at Rs 2.97 lakh ex- Pune, the bike comes with a hurricane yellow paint job, special decals, branded merchandise and signature of the owner embossed on the motorcycle.

The 250 cc bike comes with a heavy duty fully-faired muscular body. Powered by a V twin-cylinder and an oil-cooled 4-stroke engine, the GT250 R produces 27.6 Bhp of maximum power at 10000 rpm, and 22.07Nm of maximum torque at 8000 rpm. Featuring 43mm inverted forks and front dual disc brakes, the bike has a top speed of 140 kmph.

The GT250R LE offers features like double disk Front Brakes, twin projector headlamps, upside down forks, EFI and the adjustable rear sets.

Indian auto firm DSK Motowheels has an exclusive right to assemble and sell Korean Hyosung brand of superbikes in the country. The Pune-based company, part of the Rs 5,000 crore diversified DSK Group, will also invest Rs 400 crore to set up a new facility at Karad, about 130 km from Pune, where a new manufacturing facility would be set up,
 
Hyosung may also unveil two new motorcycles in India next year: the GD250N and the Aquila 250 cruiser. Both these bikes will be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014.

At the same time, DSK Hyosung is looking to enter the mass segment 125 cc bike sector by the end of 2015. The company will manufacture these bikes locally in technical collaboration with South Korea's S&T Motors.
