A road passing through J&K's Ramban recently received heavy rockfall.
The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed for vehicular traffic due to landslides in Ramban district on Tuesday, officials said. Traffic on the highway has been suspended after the landslide hit the road near Peera on the highway.
The highway has been reopened for vehicular traffic on Friday after remaining closed for 15 hours in Ramban district Jammu & Kashmir.
A woman, identified as Darshana Devi of Ballot, and her three daughters died due to serious burn injuries, the officials said.
The 270-km-long highway, which is the only all-weather road link between Kashmir and the rest of the country, was blocked by the landslide at the Digdol area in the district on Thursday night, they said.
