The CISCE earlier on July 2 announced the syllabus reduction for English, other Indian languages subjects of classes 10 and 12. The modified syllabus for ICSE and ISC is available at the website- cisce.org
The evaluation criteria adopted by CISCE is similar to that of CBSE, however, CBSE will consider the past three years of performance, while CISCE will consider the past six-year performance of students in finalising marks.
CBSE Class 12th result decision: The CBSE said that the Class 12th result will be based on marks obtained in Class 10th, 11th finals and pre-board in 12th.
Keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation, the CBSE and CISCE are contemplating various options about the pending class 12 board exams, including cancellation and adopting alternative assessment route or going ahead with the exams in truncated format, according to sources.
ICSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021: The information sought by the board includes the average marks of subjects scored by the candidates in class 11 (2019-20) and average marks of subjects scored in various tests and examinations conducted by the school during class 12 (2020-21).

After CBSE on Wednesday announced the cancellation of class 10 board exams and postponed class 12 examination in view of the pandemic situation, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) said it is reviewing the COVID-19 situation and will soon take a decision on conducting class 10 and 12 board exams.
Only an undertaking from the parent or student concerned would be needed for appearing in the exams. This order by the Minister would be applicable to all Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education and other non-aided private affiliated schools in the state.
