Elon Musk is regularly introducing new features to his social media platform X (formerly Twitter). After taking over the platform, Musk introduced long-form articles, full-length videos, monetisation programs and many more new features. Now, the billionaire said that subscribed users can post movies, TV series or podcasts on the platform and earn money via monetisation.

Musk made the comment while replying to his sister Tosca Musk who co-founded the streaming service Passionflix, the tech billionaire said that users can now post their full-length movies on X.

“Post your movies, TV series or podcasts on this platform and monetise by turning on subscriptions,” said Elon.

Tosca posted: “Love that people are watching my movies here on X.”

A user even suggested that X should let them post films and charge a one-time fee.

“This way people can buy the movie without having to buy a subscription. X becomes a genuine movie platform,” the user commented.

“X would need a seriously revamped video-playing mechanism though. Would love to see that happen,” another posted.

Elon also informed his followers that the ‘AI Audiences’ feature is coming soon. “Briefly describe the target audience for your ads and our AI systems will generate a pool of the most relevant X users to target in seconds,” he elaborated.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk has announced a new feature on a social media platform to limit replies only to verified users in an effort to prevent spam and bots. The platform has recently been cracking down on spam accounts, leading to a loss of followers for some users. Musk praised the new tool, stating that it will improve the quality of replies.

However, not all users appeared to follow his advice.

“I can’t do that. I have too many friends I really enjoy interacting with who don’t have blue checks,” a follower commented.

X saw a flood of spam and porn bots in the last few months, which triggered a mega action on such fake accounts.
