The Uttarakhand government has ordered health officials to collect medical histories of pilgrims during the online registration process for Char Dham Yatra to ensure healthcare for ailing pilgrims. The Dhami government has also taken several measures to mitigate fatalities.
Char Dham Yatra 2023: In 2023, the Uttarakhand government mandated Chardham Yatra registration for all tourists, and online and offline registration options are available. The registration process involves biometric registration and a free Yatra registration letter.
