Amid a social media storm surrounding calls for cancellation of CBSE exams for Class 12 private students, the board on Wednesday said it does not have the "desired records", stating that their results "cannot be prepared based on the assessment policy".
Taking to social media, CBSE private students are demanding they should either be evaluated on the basis of the average of marks that they scored in all the other papers as a regular candidate, or they should be evaluated on the basis of their performance in Class 10 and Class 11.
CBSE spokesperson Rama Sharma said, "The class 10 result declaration date will be communicated, once confirmed."

CBSE spokesperson Rama Sharma said, "Will let you know as and when date is confirmed." Further, when asked, if the result declaration has been delayed, the CBSE official said, "Can't say now. These are extraordinary circumstances as such. The process is elaborate and new for all including schools."
"If any school is left to complete the moderation within stipulated schedule, their result will be declared separately after July 31," the CBSE notification mentioned.

The board has directed that the schools may be inspected in such a manner that at least each category of schools-- private, government, KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Samiti) and NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti) -- is covered.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday said that academic session 2021-22 of class 10th and 12th will be divided into two terms with approximately 50 per cent syllabus in each term and exams will be conducted at the end of each term on the basis of the bifurcated syllabus.
Bifurcating the academic session, holding two term-end exams and rationalising the syllabus are part of the special assessment scheme for class 10 and 12 board examinations in 2021-22 announced by the CBSE.
