Team India captain Virat Kohli on Saturday accepted Sachin Tendulkar's 'Kit Up Challenge' and nominated wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel for the same, asking him to share the video.

"@Sachintendulkar paaji, thanks for nominating me for the Fitness kit-up Challenge, I'm kitting up to play the sport I love. I nominate @parthiv9 to kit up and share videos of the same. #ComeOutAndPlay #KitUpChallenge #SportPlayingIndia #HumFitTohIndiaFit," Kohli captioned the video on Instagram, in which he is seen kitting up faster than usual.

Legendary batsman Tendulkar has nominated Kohli along with some prominent sportspersons from the country on Thursday. With the new fitness challenge, Tendulkar urged the people to go out, play and share a video of the same on social media.

Tendulkar called it an extension of the ‘Hum Fit Toh India Fit’ challenge, initiated by Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. "I'm kitting up to go play the sport I love. Share a video of you playing the sport you love. I nominate, @SandeshJhingan, @imsardarsingh8, @imVkohli, @M_Raj03, @srikidambi, @Pvsindhu1, @yesmrinmoy & @NavaniRajan @PMOIndia #HumFitTohIndiaFit #KitUpChallenge #SportPLAYINGIndia," he tweeted, along with a video message.

Besides Kohli, Tendulkar had nominated shuttler PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, woman cricketer Mithali Raj, boxer Vijender Singh, and hockey wizard Sardar Singh to take up the fitness challenge.

Kohli, after sharing the video, was seen hitting hard at the gym with his teammates Manish Pandey, Kuldeep Yadav and Siddharth Kaul.

Kohli wrote on Instagram: "Top session with guys!"

Under the captaincy of Kohli, India recently registered a 2-0 T20I series win in Ireland and will now take on England in a lengthy series, comprising three T20Is, three T20Is and five Test matches, starting July 3.
