Have to be beheaded before visiting RSS office: Rahul Gandhi | WATCH

Varun Gandhi  joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2004. He currently represents Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit seat in Lok Sabha. Varun, who has also served as BJP's general secretary, has been critical of his own party in the recent past firing veiled salvos at Modi government's policies.

Rahul Gandhi went on to add that Varun accepted the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) at some point of time and added that he cannot accept this ever. Varun Gandhi is the son of Sanjay and Maneka Gandhi, grandson of former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi and the great-grandson of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.

"My ideology doesn't match his ideology. I cannot go to the RSS office, I'll have to be beheaded before that. My family has an ideology. Varun adopted another and I can't accept that ideology," the Wayanad MP said.

Rahul further accused the BJP and the RSS of capturing all institutions in the country, and claimed there is "pressure" on the media, Election Commission and the judiciary.
