Hopeful of Chandrayaan-3's success, eagerly waiting for photos, videos from far side of moon: Omar Abdullah

National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah and son Omar said that they are hopeful of India's Moon mission Chandrayaan-3's success.

Chandrayaan-3 landing: Jammu and Kashmir former Chief Minister and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah and son Omar on Wednesday said that they are hopeful of India's Moon mission success.

Both the leaders expressed that they are hopeful of the successful moon landing of Chandrayaan-3.

"We are very hopeful that the journey of Chandrayaan-3 will be completely successful today. We are eagerly waiting for the pictures and videos from the part of the moon where no country has so far managed a soft landing," Omar Abdullah said.

"If the Chandrayaan landing is successful, which we are very hopeful of, we will join the elite league of countries that have managed this feat," Omar Abdullah further said.

Lauding the Indian Space agency and scientists, Farooq Abdullah said, "our scientists are doing yeoman's service."

"I and all of us are proud of our scientists who have done a yeoman's service to put India on the space map. Congratulations to everyone," Farooq Abdullah said.

Over 140 crore people are waiting with bated breath for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, which is scheduled for today evening between 5:15 and 6:15 pm on the southern side of the Moon.
