Gujarat police arrests man for duping people through fake e-challan payment link

According to reports, the accused used to send fake e-challan payment links to a website to people that resembles the government portal, an official informed.

A man was held by Gujarat Police for allegedly duping several people via fake e-challans. The accused has been arrested from Jharkhand.

According to reports, the accused used to send fake e-challan payment links to a website to people that resembles the government portal, an official informed.

The accused has been identified as Sudhanshu Mishra, 25, who allegedly collected lakhs of rupees by duping people through fake e-challans.

Earlier, police registered a case of cheating with the cyber branch against unidentified fraudsters a couple of weeks ago.

As the probe began, the crime branch nabbed Sudhanshu Mishra from Jharkhand's Deoghar district.

According to police, Mishra is a former stockbroker. He informed cops that he learned the trick from another man named Rajesh who is based in Kolkata.

When he returned to the state, Mishra along with two others started dupring people in the name of fake e-challans.
