John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee's vigilante drama Satyameva Jayate has continued to rake in moolah. The movie which made Rs 20.52 crore on its opening day has minted Rs 9.03 crore on day 4, bringing the total collection of Milap Milan Zaveri's directorial to Rs 46.65 crore.
The action drama earned Rs 7.92 on day 2 and picking up the pace on day 3, it garnered Rs 9.18 crore. Trade analysts believe that if the movie had not released on Independence Day, it would have been difficult for it to garner this number within four days. However, Satyameva Jayate's life would depend on how it performs on weekdays. The movie is doing a steady business despite being an 'A' rated action flick.
The film, which also features Aisha Sharma and Amruta Khanvilkar in important roles, has received a mixed response from critics and audience. However, John Abraham, who is currently shooting for his next has refused to celebrate its success in solidarity with Kerala flood victims.
Satyameva Jayate features John in the role of Veer and Bajpayee in the role of DCP Shivansh Rathod. The story of the flick revolves around uprooting corruption from the society. It talks about a man who takes the pledge to teach a lesson to all corrupt policemen.
