New Delhi: Jan Adhikar Party leader and Lok Sabha MP from Madhepura, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, today announced that he will reward those who beat the corrupt officials to death in public.

He also asked Dalits and backward community people to pick up arms and shoot the corrupt officials.

“If the government is not taking action against bureaucrats and ministers who are looting the poor then the Dalits should shoot the politicians responsible for deaths like that of Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula. The Dalits should fight against all those who are responsible for Vemula's death,” he said.

“Those who bring the tapes of corrupt officials would be rewarded Rs 25,000 and those who beat them to death in public would be awarded Rs. 10 lakh from my side,” he added.

The expelled RJD leader had earlier, during a discussion on the Aircel-Maxis deal in Parliament, demanded that corrupt politicians and bureaucrats should be hanged as punishment for indulging in corruption. His comment that all politicians are corrupt drew sharp reactions in the House.

The Lok Sabha MP had defeated Janata Dal (United) leader Sharad Yadav from Madhepura constituency in 2014 general election. Yadav, who was expelled by the RJD for six years for anti-party activities, had launched a new political party Jan Kranti Adhikar Morcha just ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections in 2015.
