The 28-year-old woman was held for strangling her husband to death in Delhi Cantt area of South West Delhi.
The accused Sudha Chandra (28) wife of Indian Air Force sergeant Ramesh Chandra (deceased) was arrested on Friday night after she revealed that she had strangled her husband to death on April 10 at her house with the help of her juvenile paramour.
Tthe incident came to light on April 10 when Sudha Chandra came with the body of her husband to Army hospital where she plotted a fake story to the doctor that due to excessive alcohol consumption her husband got a pain in the chest and he died.
Doctors suspected some foul play in the story of Sudha so they made a call to police and told them about the incident.
Police took the body for the autopsy where the report claimed that Ramesh was murdered. Police detained Sudha and started questioning her she was unable to give a satisfactory answer.
The deceased lived with his family in Subbortto Park area of Delhi cantt and had a three-year-old daughter.
Police started questioning Sudha in which she broke down and confessed her crime.
She was unhappy with her married life as their was a 12 year gap between Sudha and Ramesh.
Sudha started teaching a juvenile who lived in her neighbourhood. She fell in love and made illicit relationship with the juvenile.
Ramesh had some doubts about their relationship. To hide this relationship Sudha strangled her husband to death April 10 at her house with the help of her juvenile paramour.
Sudha has been taken for two days remand and Juvenile was sent to Juvenile home.
