Ballari: A senior officer of a nationalised bank allegedly hanged himself in his chamber Friday due to high job stress, police said.
The 52-year-old Karnataka Bank official came to the branch early and as one other employee present there went out, he committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan, they said.
He has left a suicide note, in which he has stated that job stress, including that related to recovery of loans, as a reason for his extreme action, police said.
He has also written that nobody could be blamed for his action. The police will further examine the case before closing it.
