Noida: A school girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men in Noida on Wednesday evening.

The class 10 student was on her way to attend tuition classes in the afternoon when she was picked up by a person familiar to the girl along with two others. The three men allegedly took her to some unknown place in Noida where she was gangraped.

The survivor approached the police along with her family on the same night and lodged a complaint at the Vijay Nagar Police Station. Noida Police has detained three men on the basis of survivor's statement.

“One of them (three accused) was already known to the girl," superintendent of police Shiv Hari Meena confirmed to Hindustan Times.

“The age of the three accused is also unknown yet”.

He further told that the minor girl has been sent for medical examination and the case is being investigated.

Officials at the police station stated that the victim could not describe the location of the scene of crime as she is not aware of the landmarks in the area.

Vijay Nagar station officer Avdhesh Yadav told, "We are sending police teams to trace the location where she was subjected to the crime. As per the initial complaint, the girl went out for her coaching at around 3pm and returned late to her house at around 7:30pm".
