Deceased has been identified as Prabhakaran (26), he hailed from Chennai and was pursuing Master of Engineering in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical engineering.
He was about to finish his course is June and was already having a job in his hand in a big company via campus placements.
The suicide came to light on Sunday when a foul smell started emanating from room 28 of the PG hostel for men. Some students and a security guard found something amiss. When their calls went unanswered, they alerted Sadashivanagar police.
Police after its investigation from inside the room revealed that the body was highly decomposed. The rope (with which he hanged himself) had severed his head from the body.
For now the body has been kept in cold storage till his parents reach there.
But, friends are suspecting the reason behind Prabhakaran's death as hi break up with his girl friend.
