Noida: Ex-IAS officer slaps woman for taking her pet dog in apartment's lift I Watch video

In yet another incident of a brawl between a pet owner and a resident in Noida, a shocking video emerged on social media on Monday wherein a retired IAS officer rained blows and slaps at a woman for taking her pet dog in an elevator. According to reports, the incident happened on Monday when a retired IAS Officer, RP Gupta, and a woman were involved in a fight at Sector 108's Park Laureate Society. 

In the viral video, the former civil servant could be seen barring the woman from taking her pet to the lift. In fact, in a section of the video, Gupta was seen hindering the movement of the elevator and recording the same act on his mobile. Later, after a brief discussion, both could be seen slapping each other.

In the second portion, another man, probably her husband, entered the elevator and smashed the former police officer. 

As the video of the incident went viral on social media platforms, Police Commissionerate Gautam Buddh Nagar took to X to authenticate the incident and added "There has been a dispute regarding taking the dog in the lift". "There has been a dispute regarding taking the dog in the lift. Talks are being held with both parties, ACP-1 Noida Maya police station in-charge is at the spot. According to preliminary information, there has been a fight between both the parties, CCTV is being observed… after investigation, necessary action will be taken,” briefly translates the social media post of Police Commissionerate Gautam Buddh Nagar.

It is worth mentioning that quarrel among residents over taking pets to the lift has become a routine affair in Noida's high-rise. Last year, a pet owner was fined Rs 10,000 by the Greater Noida administration following his dog bit a kid in an apartment lift.
