CSK vs GT IPL 2023 Final: Match shifts to May 29

The match has been postponed. A ful 20 overs game will be expected to be played on the reserve day (May 29, Monday)

The rain has not stopped and it looks difficult for the match to take place. If the showers don't stop till 11 PM IST then the game is likely to get postponed to the next day. This is because it will take at least 60 minutes for the ground staff to turn the pitch into playing conditions.

The update we have for you is that it is continuing raining in Amhedabad. We are keeping fingers crossed to have a reduced game now.

We are now in the territory of losing overs. 9:35 was the time for a 20-over game and we are past that. It is still raining and you might be as eager as we are for the action. But we have to wait a bit.

Rain is in a mood to play even before the teams step on the field. Just when we hoped for a start, rain has come down again. Covers are on again and players have walked off the ground.

A reminder of the cut-off times is here for you. No overs will be lost if the game begins by 9:35 PM. Thereafter we will start losing overs. Notably, 12:06 AM is the cut-off time for a five-over game per side. If the game does not happen today, there is a reserve day and the final will be held on May 29.

We have another update on the timings. Earlier, it was reported that the cut off time for a full game is 10:10 and a five over is 12:26 AM. Now the Broadcasters state that 9:35 is the time for a full game and 12:06 AM is the time for a five-over game per side. In a much respite, reserve day is available for the game, Broadcasters confirm.

The rain continues to pour down and a lake is formed on the outfield. If the game starts by 10:10 PM, there will be no overs reduced. The cut-off time for a five-over game is 12:26 AM. If that does not happen and a Super Over is not able to be played too, GT will win the title.
