Kolkata, Jul 16: The victory of UPA presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee is a foregone conclusion and the Trinamool Congress, an ally of the central coalition, should realise this and vote for him, Congress said here today.
“Trinamool Congress should know in clear terms that Mukherjee's win in the presidential election is a foregone conclusion as he has mustered support of most parties despite Trinamool Congress opposing his candidature,” WBPCC chief Pradip Bhattacharjee told a party rally here.
“It is high time that Trinamool Congress votes for him to save its identity as a political party, otherwise people will not forgive it,” he said.
