New Delhi, Sep 9: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev Sunday condemned Congress leader Digvijay Singh for levelling allegations against him and said it was all part of a concerted attempt to malign him.
Ramdev criticised Singh for dragging his name into the case of yoga guru Shanker Dev, who went missing from Uttarakhand in July 2007.
Ramdev, without actually naming Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, said the statement that the Congress leader made to the media was meant only to defame him, and was entirely baseless.
Ramdev said the Uttrakhand police had failed to trace the missing Shanker Dev, and that he had nothing to do with the matter. He said the Congress general secretary had made it appear like he was responsible for the death of guru Rajiv Dikshit, who died of cardiac ailment in 2010.
Ramdev, under the banner of Bharat Swabhiman Party, is leading public protests against corruption.
