These days, obesity has emerged as an epidemic in the world. The number of people suffering from obesity is increasing day by day. Due to obesity, people are falling prey to serious diseases like diabetes, thyroid, high blood pressure, and heart attacks. Due to the increased cases of obesity, people's self-confidence also begins to decrease. Thus, people try their best to lose weight but most of the time they fail. Nowadays, people are also adopting the wrong methods to control the increasing obesity. Recently the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has issued guidelines regarding obesity. 

ICMR has said that people should lose weight safely. Consuming weight loss medicines to lose weight in a hurry can cause huge harm to your health. ICMR says that losing too much weight at once may reduce your weight but it can hurt your health. The Indian Council of Medical Research has also said that how much weight loss in a week is safe for your health. Besides, some healthy diets and lifestyles have also been mentioned. 

It is safe to lose half a kilogram of weight in a week?

According to the report released by ICMR, people should reduce their weight by half a kilogram in a week. Losing more weight than this can take a toll on your health. It is safe for you to lose half a gram of weight. Therefore, if you are following a diet to lose weight, do not stop eating completely. Don't try to lose weight quickly.

Can include 1000 kcal in the diet

ICMR has suggested that even if you are overweight, you can still take 1000 kcal in your diet. Your body should get all types of nutrients. By providing nutrients to your body, you will not feel weak and you will healthily lose weight. That means a balanced diet is the only safe option for weight loss.

Follow a balanced diet

ICMR has suggested people include green vegetables, pulses and fruits in their diet. At the same time, it is advised to do yoga and exercise in physical activity.
