Good sleep is most important to stay healthy. If for some reason you are unable to sleep for a day or you get less sleep, then you feel lethargic, tired, and dull on the face throughout the day and it is visible that you have not got enough sleep. It has been revealed in many studies that less sleep weakens the immune system. When you continuously sleep less, the stem cells of the immune system get damaged. This increases the risk of inflammatory disorders and heart diseases. This has been revealed in a study by the Cardiovascular Research Institute of New York. Research has found that less sleep is bad for health and especially it is not good for a healthy heart.

How many hours of sleep is needed to keep the heart healthy?

During this study, the director of a cardiovascular research institute in New York took samples of some healthy volunteers. These people slept less than one and a half hours every day for 6 weeks. The research revealed that a difference was found in the stem cells of those who slept less continuously. The white blood cells in the body of such people increase, which increases inflammation. In such a situation, you must sleep for 7-8 hours for a healthy heart.

The study was done on 35-year-old people

In the research, some 35-year-old people were first asked to sleep for 8 hours for 6 weeks and then their blood samples were taken. Data from their immune cells was extracted. After this, their sleep was reduced by 90 minutes daily for 6 weeks and then by taking blood samples, data of immune cells was extracted. The healthy cells in such people had decreased.

Why sleeping less is dangerous for the heart

This study has found that sleeping less can increase inflammation. Those who slept less had increased immune cells in their blood, which increases inflammation. Although a little bit is necessary to avoid infection, injury or minor illness in the body. But having too much can be dangerous for the heart. If inflammation persists in the body or is high, then this condition can cause heart disease or Alzheimer's. Not only this, sleeping less also causes changes in the stem cells that produce healthy immune cells.
