The controversial show Bigg Boss 11, hosted by superstar Salman Khan, has proved to be one of the most successful seasons of all times. Right from Shilpa Shinde Vs Vikas Gupta’s on and off fights to Hina Khan’s drama, the audience were simply hooked to the reality show. Even when the show ended on 14 January with Shilpa lifting the BB 11 trophy, the show achieved a major feat. During the third week of January (13-19 January) Bigg Boss was the most-watched show in the Hindi GEC (Urban) category leaving behind shows like Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya, according to a BARC report.
It was quite expected that the finale of Bigg Boss 11 would get great viewership. It got 8.4 million impressions viewership with Kundali Bhagya at 7.8 million impressions viewership.
The third place was taken by Kumkum Bhagya followed by Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah at the fourth place with 6.2 million impressions viewership. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai got 5.8 million impressions viewership.

The success of Bigg Boss 11 has proved it once again that viewers are in love with reality shows. Before this Khatron Ke Khiladi and Kaun Banega Crorepati also did great. Others shows in the to make it to the top 5 list are Kundali Bhagya, Kumkum Bhagya, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Bigg Boss 11 grand finale was a star-studded event where Bollywood star Akshay Kumar promoted his upcoming film PadMan along with stylish host Salman. Besides the four finalist, Hina Khan, Shilpa Shinde, Vikas Gupta and Puneesh Sharma, almost all eliminated contestants were a part of the finale night.
