New Delhi: Three minor boys have been held for allegedly raping a 5-year old girl repeatedly over a month in the city of Goa.

According to the police, the accused are said to be the neighbor of the victim in the lower strata of Goan society.

The accused aged 9, 12 and 15, respectively would go to victim's house separately and repeatedly for over a month.

The incident came into light after the victim complained of pain in her abdomen to her parents and when probed, narrated the entire incident to her parents.

The police has arrested the accused on victim's parent's complaint.

While the accused have been detained under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code, they have been remanded to children's protective home after their medical examination.

The police is, however, investigating the matter further.
