Surat: Absconding rape accused Narayan Sai's wife Janaki is being interrogated by Surat police in connection with the case after a warrant was issued against her under act 160 of Criminal Procedure Code.

On receiving the warrant, Janaki came before Surat police  on Monday when she was interrogated.

Hailing from Bhopal,  Janaki alias Shilpa Dev Krishna had married absconder Narayan Sai in 1996 in Pachergam near Ratlam.

Her name changed from Shilpa to Janaki after marriage.

According to Janaki, after learning about Asaram and Narayan Sai's misdeeds and never ending lust, she decided to leave Narayan Sai.
