After selling fruits, the girl reached the bus stand to return to her village by an evening bus, but since the bus had already left, she began waiting for some other vehicle to return to her village.
The girl's cousin brother had already reached Yelshil village by another vehicle.
Meanwhile, two youths from another village, namely Kishor Mandal (23) and his friend Pradeep Bishwas (22) reached the bus stand and offered the girl a lift to her village. As the youth was familiar to the girl because he used to go to her village to sell fish and had even taken meals at her residence, she agreed to go with him.
However, Kishor stopped his motorbike between Allapalli and Yelchil claiming that petrol in his bike got over. Then he took the minor girl to the nearby jungle and allegedly raped her.
Later, his friend Pradeep Bishwas, who reached the spot, also allegedly raped the girl.
After their heinous act, the girl managed to reach her village at around 9.30 PM at night and narrated the incident to her elder sister.
Kishor Mandal has been arrested, after a complaint was lodged at the Aheri police station this morning. An offence under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as Section 4 and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) has been registered. The other accused, Pradeep Bishwas, is still absconding, the police official said.
