The Samajwadi Party (SP) released its second list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls on Wednesday. According to an official statement issued by the party, the SP declared the names of a total of 22 candidates in the second list.

Meanwhile, SP leader and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav hit out at Congress for "snubbing" his party for the upcoming Assembly election in Madhya Pradesh. He also raised questions on the I.N.D.I.A bloc asking whether the alliance is only for the Lok Sabha election.

What did Akhilesh Yadav say?
Speaking to reporters, the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that the Congress did not give any seat to his party even after getting all the information. "We gave them (Congress) all information about our performance in Madhya Pradesh. After detailed deliberations, the Congress assured that the SP would get six seats to contest in the state. However, when the list came, the SP did not get any seat," he added.

SP chief raises questions on I.N.D.I.A bloc

Raising questions on the I.N.D.I.A bloc, he wondered where the alliance is only for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. "We might have been confused in the meetings of I.N.D.I.A alliance. We would have never joined the I.N.D.I.A bloc if we knew there would be no alliance for the Assembly elections. Neither have we met Congress leaders nor we would have picked their phones. When Congress comes to Uttar Pradesh during the Lok Sabha elections, they will be treated the same way," the SP chief warned.
