Commonwealth Games 2022 has given India a new sport to talk about. It's Lawn Bowls. The Women's Fours of Lovely Choubey, Pinki, Nayan Moni Saikia and Rupa Rani Tirkey made history for India by bagging a maiden gold medal in lawn bowls.
Thakur had earlier won the silver medal at the 2014 CWG event at the Glasgow edition. In the Gold Coast, he had returned with a bronze.
India has bagged 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 3 bronze medals at the multi-nation event so far.
The women's fours team comprised of Lovely Choubey, Pinki, Nayanmoni Saikia and Rupa Rani Tirkey.
This decision was scrutinized by many experts and fans across the globe. On the flip side, unfazed by any kind of criticism, Rohit has made his stand clear on supporting youngsters and backing them to the best of his capabilities.
