IPL 2019: R Ashwin does bhangra to celebrate KXIP's 12-run win over RR

Kings XI Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin couldn't contain his excitement after his side returned to the winning ways with a 12-run against over Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday.

Ashwin, who played an instrumental role in KXIP's win, did the traditional bhangra after his team's victory in Mohali.

Ashwin was joined by Bollywood actor Sonu Sood and they both danced to the tunes of the dhol. One of the dholwallahs even lifted Ashwin during the gig.

Ashwin and opener KL Rahul played pivotal roles to help KXIP bounce back after two successive defeats.

Rahul hit a 47-ball 52, while Ashwin smashed 17 off four balls in the last over and then took two crucial wickets as KXIP recorded their fifth win in this IPL.

After being asked to bat, Rahul, who has found a place in India's 15-member World Cup squad, and David Miller (40 off 27) stitched a 85-run stand to lay the foundation.

Ashwin then smashed a four and successive sixes in the last two balls to give KXIP the momentum.

KXIP then restricted Rajasthan to 168/7, courtesy some superb bowling by Ashwin and Murugan Ashwin (1/24) in the middle overs after Arshdeep Singh's maiden two IPL wickets.

KXIP, with five wins in nine matches, have risen to fourth spot in the points table. They will next play the Delhi Capitals in an away match on Saturday.
