#MeToo: Anyone outraging modesty of women won't be spared, says Amar Singh

Expressing concern over misuse of #MeToo campaign, Singh asserted that people should also justify their allegations and they should not only level charges.

Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh has said that anyone who outrages the modesty of a woman would not be spared in the reign of Modi government.

Amar Singh said this while talking to journalists on the issue of #MeToo campaign. He also asserted that actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada had also come across such harassers and if she opens up, people like Azam Khan would go to jail.

"I could also be falsely accused under #MeToo", the MP added.

Expressing concern over misuse of #MeToo campaign, Singh asserted that people should also justify their allegations and they should not only level charges.

Citing the example of Bollywood star Jeetendra, Singh said that a women levelled harassment charges against him saying the star had harrased her 40 years ago. "Action must be taken after proper investigation", Singh  said.
