Rohtak: A Special Investigative Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the rape and murder of the 28- year-old mentally challenged woman from Nepal in Rohtak, Haryana.

The autopsy report of the woman suggested several injuries on her private parts. As per the reports blades and stones were also found in the woman's body.

Superintendent of Rohtak Police, Shashank Anand said, “Looking at the seriousness of the matter, we have appointed a special team for the investigation.”

Meanwhile, the Opposition has slammed the BJP led government saying that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated.

The victim's sister has appealed for justice and demanded death penalty for the culprits. “Police should catch the culprit as soon as possible and punish them," she said.
