Sir Ganga Ram hospital in Delhi has said that they now have few amount of oxygen left with themselves. The hospital is in urgent need of oxygen at this moment. On April 23, At least 25 critically ill Covid-19 patients who were on high-flow oxygen at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital died.
At least 25 'sickest' patients died at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, news agency PTI reported while quoting sources. It added that low pressure oxygen was likely the cause behind the deaths. A serious oxygen crisis is unfolding in the national capital as Covid-19 cases continue to spiral.
After Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain stated on Tuesday that Delhi’s GTB Hospital was running out of medical oxygen, one oxygen tanker reached the hospital just in time at 1:30 am on Wednesday. More than 500 critical Covid-19 patients on oxygen were admitted at the hospital and the supply was not expected to last beyond 2 am.
With the rising number of COVID-19 cases in India, senior doctors raised alarm and suggested people to be more cautious and take precautionary measures.
