Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on Friday announced that schools in the national capital will reopen from September 1 for Classes IX to XII. This has drawn mixed responses from the parents.
The schools, varsities in Delhi will reopen from September 1. Education Minister Manish Sisodia said, "It has been decided to resume schools, colleges, coaching activities in Delhi with all precautions, in a phased manner. From 1st Sept, classes for std 9-12 in all schools, their coaching classes as well as all colleges/ universities will be permitted to resume." Classes for 9 to 12 will begin from September 1 and classes for 6 to 8 will begin from September 8, as reported by news agency ANI.
Schools in Delhi will reopen from today (January 18) after remaining shut for 10 months due to the pandemic. Schools in the national capital were closed since March 19 to restrict the movement of children and check the spread of coronavirus.
