Modi far ahead of rivals in Hindi heartland, says survey

The survey says, BJP may show a fine performance in those areas of North and West India, where its base had been weak.

The survey says, BJP has cornered three vital statistical points in its favour by making Modi the PM candidate. The three points are - youths, urban voters and OBC voters.

According to the survey, NDA is leading among literate voters in both rural and urban areas, whereas among illiterate and semi-literate voters, NDA is facing a gruelling fight with the UPA.

NDA appears to be quite popular among voters in the 18-34 age group, while UPA has managed to maintain its base among aged voters.
