Kolkata: A 19-year-old medical attendant was allegedly taken to a city red light area and gangraped when she was returning from the hospital she is attached to, police said Monday.
In her police complaint, the teenager said she boarded a shuttle car from the private hospital at Rajarhat in the city's northeast fringes to travel to the Bidhan Nagar police station Sunday.
However, she lost consciousness in the car - which had another passenger in addition to the driver, said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Pallab Kanti Sarkar.
