Any body organising a DJ party in the village will be fined Rs 11,000, said a panch Mahaveer Singh.
Liquor, said Singh, is the main reason behind attacks on women and rapes.
While a middle-aged woman Shanti Devi supported the khap's decision saying it would check harassment of girls, a young man termed the khap diktat as outlandish.
"These people are vindictive. If we question their decision they will ban us from the village", the young man said.
