Congress president Rahul Gandhi, on Monday, filed an affidavit in connection with the contempt petition filed by BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi over his comment on Supreme Court's Rafale order, reported ANI.

The apex court had issued a notice of criminal contempt to Congress president Rahul Gandhi. It turned down a plea to close the matter. 

BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi moved the SC seeking action against the Congress party president over his 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' rant. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Lekhi, said that Rahul Gandhi had exhibited a reckless attitude in making such statements.
