Indrani Mukerjea, prime accused in Sheena Bora murder case, complains of chest pain, hospitalised

Indrani Mukerjea, who is the prime accused in the alleged murder of her daughter Sheena Bora, was hospitalised last night after she complained of chest pain.

According to reports, Mukerjea, the former head of INX Media, undertrial Indrani Mukerjea was shifted to Mumbai's JJ Hospital from Byculla jail after her condition deteriorated. More updates about her hospitalisation are awaited.

In April, Indrani underwent a brain MRI scan and other tests after she collapsed inside her jail cell. Media reports claimed that Indrani's health had deteriorated due to an alleged drug overdose.

Indrani, who has been in custody since August 2015, is one of the prime accused in the April 2012 disappearance and subsequent murder of her 24-year old daughter Sheena Bora. Sheena, 24, was abducted and killed on April 24, 2012, allegedly over a financial dispute, and her body was disposed of in a forest in adjoining Raigad district. Bora was Indrani's daughter from an earlier relationship.
