Don’t put your hands on your face

Your hands contract dirt and disease-causing germs when you touch things. Putting your hands on your face, eyes, nose and mouth can make way for virus to enter your respiratory system.

Wash your hands often

Before and after eating your meals, wash your hands. Make sure to clean the fingernails as well. Use lukewarm water to rinse your hand.

Keep a hand sanitizer with you always

You might land up in places that lack wash basins or water. In that case, hand sanitizer might come handy. Use a coin sized product and rub it all over your hands. The alcohol in the sanitizer inactivate the viruses by destroying their protein structure.

Cover your nose and mouth

When the disease is at its peak, its better to take precautions when you’re out. Cover your face while you sneeze or cough, and do the same when someone else around you does. Maintain an arm’s distance while speaking to someone.

Buy a mask in case you need

If your immune system is weak, then buy a mask to protect yourself from infection. These masks are especially designed to filter out the water droplets containing the virus. They can reduce the chances of seasonal flu by up to 80%.
