Isha Ambani, daughter of Reliance honcho Mukesh Ambani, never cease to amaze us with her elegance and aura every time she steps out of the house. The entrepreneur attended the Met Gala 2019 last night which took place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, United States and looked like a walking dream. Isha Ambani had all eyes on her the moment she walked the pink carpet wearing a custom-made gown by ace designer Prabal Gurung.

Isha Ambani looked just out of a fairytale with her lavish gown and minimal detailing. She perfectly complimented her look with wavy hair and minimal makeup. Isha Ambani definitely knows how to make a perfect style statement on the red carpet where she was accompanied by divas like Lady Gaga, Emma Stone, Miley Cyrus and others. Even Isha’s best friend Priyanka Chopra graced the carpet with her husband Nick Jonas. For the unversed, Met Gala 2019 had the theme Camp: Notes On Fashion and all the celebrities dressed to their best keeping the theme in mind. The theme was inspired by a play on Susan Sontag’s iconic essay “Notes on ‘Camp’”. 

Talking about Isha Ambani’s lavender gown at Met Gala 2019, designer Prabal Gurung told Vogue, “We’ve been working on this together for many months. With the camp theme, we wanted to celebrate the exuberance and essence of who Isha is. We chose to highlight her spirit through the glamorous silhouette and the intricacies of the hand embroidered feathers and beadwork. In keeping with the theme, we had a vision of Isha in a magical, dreamlike state and looked to the work of Degas’ ballet dancers, evoking an ethereal and romantic quality where the power of her femininity is heightened. We took a couture approach and played with the proportion of her skirt.”

Gurung also revealed that Isha’s friend Priyanka Chopra also had a say in finagling her outfit. He added, “Priyanka Chopra stopped by for that one (one of the fitting trials) and we all had a collaborative conversation on styling the accessories, hair and makeup to elevate the camp look.” Priyanka Chopra also happens to be part of this year’s Benefit Committee along with her husband Nick Jonas.
