Netizens tell us about the special woman in their life

On the occasion of International Women's Day 2019, India TV encouraged netizens to mention the special woman in their life. We asked them to share a selfie on social media and tell us why they hold a special place in their life. Those interested in participating had to use the hashtags, ''#WomanInMyLife and #WomensDayWithIndiaTV''. From wife, sister to maid, people took to social media to pen down 'why she is the one'. The contest received a huge response and we have shortlisted few among them. An Instagram account that goes by the user id rima.gargg shared an adorable selfie with her house helper and wrote, ''she is inspiration not only to me but many working maid's like her who quit easily after a setback. A proud smile on her face inspire me to be confident in every weak situation''.

@hdfccredila #StrengthOfWAWoman #Womensday #WomanInYourLife #Womaninmylife It sounds weird but my wonder lady is my washing maid Sumedha Dogra. I know everybody has been inspired by their close ones but I am really surprised by this ladies not to die spirit and a fighter who emerged as a winner. Her husband left her for somebody with small kids. Her family who supported her left her in midst when she asked for her share. Her own brother in greed of money disown her and made her leave their place and look for some rented accommodation.Hard to survive her not to give up spirit made her a strong and more confident women.People in mohalla(locality) sympathetically helped her to find job by giving washing work and ironing clothes.Somebody gave her space to put her small table and a small khoka. But what is commendable and praiseworthy was that in all these testing times she never let her son's leave their studies. She managed to fill their fees either by requesting someone for free tutions or asking somebody for discounts. But she never quit. And as a result her both sons got good marks in their exams .And see what is more surprising and a winning moment was when his husband pleaded her not to give him divorce and agreed to stay with her with her terms and condition with a written apology. You can still find her ironing clothes in front of Ashok VIhar Delhi And yes she is inspiration not only to me but many working maid's like her who quit easily after a setback.A proud smile on her face inspire me to be confident in every weak situation. If she can,why can't I.She is according to me superwomen possessing all invisible powers .A real tough woman

So, what exactly are we celebrating on March 8th again? Are we celebrating progress? Are we celebrating the roles of a woman? Are we celebrating the various functions? Time to think about what is the essence of a woman. She is just that – A Woman – A sweet little child who loves pink, that daring adolescent who tries her mother’s cosmetics while no one is looking, that aspiring young damsel who is as worried about her studies as she is about the latest fashion trends, that shy little bride who grabs her husband’s hand while yearning to earn respect in her new home, that experimenting parent who cares for her child like no one else and that confident entrepreneur who can shake the world (at least her own). She is just a woman. Celebrate womanhood. In any age, a woman is just that – not to be judged, not to be toyed, not to be belittled but to be cherished, to be admired, to be loved. #inspire #admire #woman #womaninmylife
