No-confidence motion: Here's how PM Modi took jibe at Congress president Rahul Gandhi hugging him

Rahul Gandhi accused him of being a 'bhagidar' (collaborator) in corruption and not a 'chowkidar' and saying people were victims of his 'jumla' strikes.

Giving reply of 10-hour-long debate on the no-confidence motion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the country has got the chance to see the negativity of some people.

He also expressed shock that despite not having numbers opposition moved the no-confidence motion.

On Rahul Gandhi's hug, PM Modi took jibe and said-"Congress president was saying to me… get up, get up, get up (so that he can hug). Neither can anyone make me stand nor can anyone topple me.”

After a blistering attack on PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi on Friday hugged him. Gandhi, later, also appeared winking towards some Congress leader.

Rahul Gandhi accused him of being a 'bhagidar' (collaborator) in corruption and not a 'chowkidar' and said people were victims of his 'jumla' strikes. 

Meanwhile, commenting on Gandhi’s sudden hug to Prime Minister Narendra Modi inside the Parliament during the no-confidence motion, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala on Friday said Congress president today showed how a hug full of affection can stop hatred. 

"Gandhi showed the mirror to PM Modi. He showed how grand old party loves everyone", Surjewala added.

It is pertinent to mention here that just a few months before the Lok Sabha elections 2019, Congress along with some other parties moved a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
