London: As British voters elected to leave the European Union on Friday, the founder of Zara, Amancio Ortega, who is the second richest person in the world, registered a loss of over Rs 4073 crore.

London: As British voters elected to leave the European Union on Friday, the founder of Zara, Amancio Ortega, who is the second richest person in the world, registered a loss of over Rs 4073 crore.

Brexit has made Ortega to experience the biggest impact on wealth. His current net worth is over Rs 4 lakh crore.

A total of 51.9 per cent of Britons voted on Thursday to leave the EU in a referendum, nicknamed "Brexit" with the participation of 72.1 per cent of voters.

Post this, over one million Britons have signed a petition calling on the British Parliament to hold a new referendum on Britain's membership of the European Union (EU).

 British Conservative politician Jonathan Hill resigned on Saturday from his position as commissioner for financial stability, financial services and capital markets of the European Union after his country voted in favour of Brexit.

The Brexit vote also led to the resignation of British Prime Minister David Cameron, who said that another Conservative leader will have to lead negotiations for leaving the EU.
